A public meeting has been scheduled for April 26 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Elm Grove Community Center to discuss and provide information on the upcoming Sub-Basin P002 & P003 Interceptor Project. This is a City of Fort Smith Consent Decree related project to increase flow to the P Street Wastewater Treatment plant. Operations and construction on this project will be performed between P Street Wastewater Treatment Plant and Martin Luther King Park.
Project design and construction management will be conducted by Hawkins-Weir Engineers. The contractor for the project is KAKACS from Little Rock, AR.
The City of Fort Smith Utility Department encourages anyone that is interested in these projects to attend. City Utility staff will be on hand to answer questions and receive comments. Maps will be on display to show the location of work.
